BONDED ADSL
ADSL2+
ADSL2+ is double ADSL, double the downstream bits and double frequency band. Where standard ADSL downstream rate can only be as high as 12Mbps ADSL2+ can be as high as 24Mbps. Also the frequency band is doubled from 1.1MHz to 2.2MHz which results in double the downstream rate.
Bonded ADSL2+
Unlike other providers who aggregate or load-balance slow and unreliable ADSL MAX services, S-P-Solutions offer true network-level bonding using the UK’s most advanced LLU broadband network. We don’t use complex MLPPP or install proprietary hardware to achieve a bonded solution – using a bridged Ethernet network topology, we bond connections at layer 2 to provide a stable, fast connection that offers up to 48Mbps down and 5Mbps upstream.
To benefit from higher speeds and improved resilience, we need to check whether our service is available in your area. Currently we can provide this service to around 80% of the UK population so there is a good chance you will be connected to an X2 enabled exchange. You will need two BT analogue lines available for the service. As with all DSL services, the bandwidth you will receive is dependent on the distance to the local telephone exchange. To check availability, please call SPSOL on 03300 770070 for a detailed estimate of the bandwidth available to you.
The SPSOL X2 Bonded ADSL2+ service includes a dedicated bonded ADSL2+ Annex M router. This hardware will integrate with your network in the same way as a standard router – the only difference being that it connects to the 2 BT lines using a Y cable. Unlike other providers who need a router and a separate bonding device, the SPSOL X2 router uses standard firmware and bonds the two connections at a network level to provide optimum stability and best performance.
Bonded ADSL Performance – Up to 48Mb Download / Up to 5Mbps Upload
Using the most advanced and mature ADSL2+ network in the UK, SPSOL X2 delivers the full potential of ADSL2+ connectivity over 2 bonded lines. That means, subject to line conditions, maximum speeds of 48Mbps downstream and 5Mbps upstream are achievable for the first time over two analogue BT lines.
There are no caps, limits or throttling and because the service is delivered over a state-of-the-art dedicated network there are no more 50:1 and 20:1 contention ratios, just consistently high performance, even at busy times.
Bonded ADSL Resilience
By combining connectivity over 2 physical lines, the SPSOL X2 service provides additional resilience for your Internet connectivity. If either line should suffer an outage, traffic will continue to flow over the remaining unaffected line, with the same IP addressing - without the need for complex networking technology to maintain connectivity. This means that you can carry on working whilst the fault is put right.
Bonded ADSL Flexibility
With up to 48Mbps down and 5Mbps up, SPSOL X2 offers you a whole range of applications that have until now been difficult or impossible over a regular ADSL connection. 48Mbps downstream will support a host of high demand applications as well as a high number of users, while 5Mbps upstream offers a wealth of new opportunities for remote access, VoIP, hosting and video applications.
To compliment our market-leading technology, SPSOL X2 includes a set of features to suit your needs:
Bonded ADSL Connection Speed
- Up to 48Mbps downstream, up to 5Mbps upstream
- IP Addressing
- Options for 4, 8 or 16 IPs
- Unlimited Usage
- No data caps or peak time restrictions (subject to abuse policy)
- Monitoring and Statistics
- 24x7 monitoring with email alerts and online bandwidth usage tracking with optional email reports
- Managed Router
- Optional fully managed router with advance replacement maintenance
