Ethernet in the First Mile
Ethernet First Mile Leased Lines are provisioned over multiple copper pairs, instead of traditional expensive fibre installations. The advantage of the ethernet first mile being provisioned over multiple pairs is if any of the pairs fail the service will rate adjust to a lower speed on the remaining circuits rather than completely fail.
Ethernet First Mile connectivity can support up to 20Mbs symmetrical bandwidth dependant on the distance. Most businesses within 3Km of the exchange should be able to receive 10Mbs.
- Up to 48Mbps downstream, up to 5Mbps upstream
- Options for 4, 8 or 16 IPs
- No usage caps, limits or throttling at any time
- 24x7 monitoring with email alerts and online bandwidth usage tracking with optional email reports
- Optional fully managed router with advance replacement maintenance
- Cost Effective compared to fibre based circuits
- Short Installation lead times
- Highly resilient
- Low latency connectivity
